Having started her career in fashion design, Miriam transferred her dressmaking and sewing techniques to millinery. She trained at Camberwell College of Arts, The London College of Fashion, and Morley College, where she was fortunate enough to study under Jane Smith, renowned Milliner to the film trade. 
 
The breadth of her studies allows her to draw from a large variety of skills and techniques, giving her the complete creative freedom she requires to translate ideas into reality. Raised and schooled in Perthshire, her Scottish heritage is often clearly evoked in her designs.
